Petrolimex accomplished the training program for stores, teams and shops

On October 29, 2011 in Da Nang City, Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation (Petrolimex) held the final review of its training program (2010-2011) for Petrolimex stores, teams and shops, concluding the biggest program in terms of scope, trainees, and expenditures so far by Petrolimex.

Mr. Vuong Thai Dung, Vice Director General at the closing session stressed that: "In past years, Petrolimex leadership has paid constant attention to the training and raising the management and operation skill of the managing staff of the corporation. With the success of the training program for stores, teams and shops, following the success of the training for professional directors (2004-2006) and intermediate managers (2008-2009), Petrolimex has done well its general program of training for the contingent of leaders and managers of the corporation. I strongly believe it is a very important pre-condition for building Petrolimex into a strong and dynamic economic group.”

After the process of fact finding, program design and experimental teaching, the program was deployed with factual topics, highly practical and suitable to the ability of trainees. The teaching was conducted by modern methods, attractive to the attention of trainees, by which trainees did not passively listened to the speech but positively participated in the teaching process.

From May 2010 to October 2011, Petrolimex successfully carried out 92 courses in 14 provinces/cities all over the three regions for nearly 2,800 trainees who were managers of stores, teams and shops, and the shop managers-to-be of 42 single-member limited petroleum companies, 9 Petrolimex joint stock petroleum companies and one special general agent (Kien Giang single member tourist and trading limited company), in which the majority of courses were held simultaneously (one site for two courses), on one side ensured the time tempo and on the other side created the chance for the trainees of various units to know each other in accordance with the cultural tradition of Petrolimex.

Cadres for stores, teams and shops are very important for the development of Petrolimex. They are the mangers at “the front line”, the direct contact point with customers, end users and the public. Together with the task of managing and operating trading and production in accordance with Petrolimex standard, each worker and officer in the unit is undertaking the mission of “Ambassador of Petrolimex brand

The training of the next contingent and the Shop Managers to-be is a new turn in the training work, facilitating the appointment and substitution work for officers of the units, especially preparing for the development of new retail shops in the coming time.

Member units and the majority of trainees highly valued the content as well as the teaching quality, the scope of the training program and method of deployment of the program for stores, teams and shops conducted by the corporation.

Following this program, the Corporation is proceeding with the human resource training program, the Petrolimex Enterprise Director as well as the cooperation with Japan (in 2011, thirty (30) turns of Petrolimex officers were sent to Japan for training in profession and career), ensuring the aim of Petrolimex leadership of raising the quality of human resources, thus creating the precondition for Petrolimex to move further.
