A Brief Introduction of Petrolimex Vietnam

Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation is the biggest enterprise in Vietnam dealing in petroleum and petro-chemical downstream sector. At present, there are 43 member companies, 25 branches and 9 enterprises directly in line of 100% state-owned member companies; besides there are 20 joint stock companies in which Petrolimex has predominant shares; 3 joint ventures with foreign companies . Also, there is a branch of Petrolimex in Singapore.

The Corporation is equipped with a modern material and technological infrastructure for oil and petrochemical business. All internal managerial and operational activities are effected through Petronet network in combination with Internet. Apart from the central laboratory based at No. 1 Kham Thien Street, Hanoi, there are modern laboratories located in oil terminals and ports for the quality control of oil and petrochemicals right at the moment of their import till their delivery in strict compliance with national and international standards.

The Corporation spends hundreds of billions of Vietnamese dongs annually in an investment program for development, expansion and modernization of material and technological infrastructure, creating new capacities and competitiveness; investing in focal projects to improve business efficiency such as the procurement of ocean oil tankers, the upgrade of pipelines, the development of additional service stations and retail outlets for lubricants and LPG...
