With the success of The Shareholders General Meeting on 20th November 2011 on the establishment of Vietnam National Petroleum Group, Petrolimex officially turned into a joint stock company and a multi-ownership economic group by decision of the Prime Minister.
This is an important landmark for a new stage of development of Petrolimex.
As an enterprise with 55 years of building and maturing, generations of leaders, officers and workers have wholeheartedly and tirelessly built an ever developing, diversifying Petrolimex in selected business sectors with oil as the core; many brand names are recognized as leading Vietnam products such as PLC, PGC, VIPCO, VITACO, PJICO…and they are still striving to move further forward.
Operating in a new form, Petrolimex continues to play the key role and hold the responsibility in the stabilization, modulation and development of petroleum market, contributing to the stabilization of macro economy, assurance of social security and sustainable development.
Besides the downstream sector, Petrolimex would strongly invest in refining and petrochemical and other upstream activities in the petroleum field, renovate and complete business modes, concentrate resources for development and upgrade the quality of the enterprise on all sides.
Parallel with the development and consolidation of its position in home market, Petrolimex would continue to boost its activities in international market, chiefly Singapore as a major oil center of the world and other regional markets.
One of the main orientation of Petrolimex is to develop human factor, focusing attention in people, turning enterprise into an environment for people to develop their creativeness, building an efficient and skillful contingent, confirming Petrolimex culture, striving to build Petrolimex into a major group of predominant role in home market and capable of competition in international market.
