| Vietnam President Tran Duc Luong visited Petrolimex show room at EXPO' 2006 opening ceremony. |  Annually, Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation often attends EXPO exhibition – one of the biggest scale trading exhibition in Vietnam. This year, Petrolimex takes part in EXPO 2006 in order to promote “P” brand name and to target in honor of the corporation 50Th anniversary of establishment. At the EXPO 2006 opening ceremony on 5th April 2006, Vietnam President Tran Duc Luong visited Petrolimex exhibition booth. The appearance of Vietnam President at Petrolimex exhibition show room was reported by Vietnam Television News on the day.

On 28th September 2007, Mr. Bui Ngoc Bao was assigned as the Director General of Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation. Before, he was concurrently a member of Board of Managements and a Deputy General Director. On behalf of Ministry of Industry & Trade, Mr. Nguyen Cam Tu – the Deputy Minister has announced the decision. The former Director General – Mr. Tran Van Duc had retired. Petrolimex supports the victims of Can Tho collapsed bridge.
Can Tho constructing bridge broke in the morning of 26th September 2007.
